!History: " Mayflower Families" says: "At the time of Israel's death Barrington was a part of Massachusetts.... Israel lived in Rehoboth continuing the family trade as miller until he and his mother sold their share of the mill and homestead in 1700. Styled husbandman or yeoman in later deeds, he moved to Swansea ca. 1712. He, "of Swanzey" on 7 May 1717, with wife Elizabeth and mother Mary Sabin sold Rehoboth land that had been part of the estate of Samuel Sabin, Sr. In the last record found, Isarael Sabin was of Barrington 25 March 1718 when he sold his rights of commonage in Rehoboth. It is probable that he died soon afterward, for his children scattered at an early age. No probate record in Bristol County has been discovered." |
